Royal United Hospitals Bath benefits from Agfa HealthCare

Agfa HealthCare announces today that its ceiling-suspended direct radiography (DR) solutions will support the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust provides acute treatment and care for a catchment population of around 500,000 people in Bath, and surrounding towns and villages. The 687-bed hospital and its 4,800 staff offer a comprehensive range of acute services.

To continue enhancing its patient care, the hospital has implemented two Agfa HealthCare DR 600 direct radiography rooms, with state-of-the-art automation and design in a complete and integrated solution.

“In today’s patient-centric healthcare environment, hospitals like ours need to find ways to provide a better patient experience and positive patient outcomes,” says Rosie Freeman, Radiology Clinical Manager, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. “The DR 600 helps us achieve this, by providing excellent image quality, the potential for dose reduction and a faster patient throughput in a busy imaging environment.” says Stacey Hall, ED Radiographer Team Leader, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
