CSC Partners with Draper & Dash to transform data visualisation

CSC  has announced a partnership with Draper & Dash, London based specialists in enterprise wide healthcare analytics and data visualisation. Under the agreement, CSC will serve as reseller for Draper & Dash in Australia and New Zealand, offering hospitals and health services more than 20 proven dashboards that are rapidly customisable to client data environments and information needs.

The demonstrated speed-to-benefit of the Draper & Dash solution, already used by a number of large Australian hospitals, has proven to be a game changer in data visualisation. Healthcare business intelligence projects which otherwise would have taken years to implement now can be achieved in a matter of weeks with the combined offering from CSC and Draper & Dash.

For Lisa McKenzie, chief of staff at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, this speed has enabled a successful business analytics project within 16 weeks – something the hospital had been trying to achieve for several years. “Draper and Dash’s enhancements to The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s business intelligence systems have resulted in strong staff engagement and a substantial increase in user adoption across the organisation,” Ms. McKenzie said. “The improved access to business insights has helped our organisation to identify substantial savings.”

Orlando Agrippa, CEO, Draper & Dash, is excited about bringing their award winning data visualisation toolsets to healthcare providers in Australia and New Zealand. “We’ve already been working with several clients in the region. Through this partnership, we are now able to bring our unique dashboards to more clients than we could alone. As a major provider of patient administration and clinical solutions, CSC has inside knowledge of the available data sets and how to access them for analytics.”

Daryll Goodall, general manager Healthcare, CSC Australia and New Zealand said, “Healthcare organisations today are struggling to implement consistent dashboards across the organisation. More critically, the failure rate of business intelligence projects is extremely high. In many instances, healthcare organisations are often unable to demonstrate a return on investment from these initiatives and also struggle to access the insights necessary for operational and clinical improvement.”

The suite of healthcare dashboards by Draper & Dash will give healthcare professionals in Australia and New Zealand a real alternative with fast and easy access to actionable information.

“CSC’s key focus is to lead our clients on their digital transformation journeys. Our partnership with Draper & Dash is an excellent example where we have demonstrated an intrinsic understanding of our clients’ needs, identified an area of improvement and sourced a strategic partner to bring a next generation solution to market – all with the aim of delivering greater efficiencies and a better user experience,” added Goodall.

The CSC and Draper & Dash solution-based delivery model starts with a comprehensive diagnostic involving key stakeholders, data setup, systems, warehouse and reporting. The applications (dashboards) can then be deployed and accurately hooked into the various data sources. Along with training, the final key step is an internal education programme to help drive change and ensure user engagement.
