New, faster Vision Appointments App now centrally funded through GPSoC

CCGs can now order Vision’s new Appointments App under the GPSoC framework. The app, available for order and deployment to practices free of charge, is set to cut typical appointment booking time in half. This frees up valuable admin time and reduces wait times for patients while booking or changing appointments.

GPSoC enables GPs and practice staff to have access to the best technology to support patient care under a centralised funding scheme.  The strict requirements set by NHS Digital, NHS England and clinicians for inclusion into the GPSoC framework are based on functionality, clinical use, clinical safety and sophistication. After rigorous testing and assurances, the Appointments App has been added to the GPSoC Tracking Database, under Lot 1 as a subsidiary module which can currently be used alongside the principle Vision software.

“We have been working on the app for the last few years and are very proud of the new, simple interface, which we hope will improve efficiency and workload for our practice receptionists. It can work alongside existing Vision software but is built for the future, and we have many exciting developments to be rolled out to all users over the coming year. Therefore, we urge our customers to order through GPSoC as soon as possible to receive our new app free of charge.” comments Mike Roncone, Appointment App Product Owner at Vision.

GP practice receptionists are set to save time booking each appointment, improving efficiency of the practice and reducing waiting times for patients. The simple interface is designed for all ways of working, including using a keyboard, mouse or touchscreen. The app will sit alongside the current Vision system, to give users the choice of when they would like to stop using their existing appointments software and switch over to using the new app.
