UK Health Show partners with Highland Marketing

GovNet Exhibitions has appointed Highland Marketing as its official PR Partner for the upcoming UK Health Show.

Alexander Rushton, UK Health Show event director, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with Highland Marketing again because of its well established reputation within the healthcare environment, which we can now benefit from for the second year running.

“We were impressed with its knowledge and understanding of the ever-changing healthcare and technology markets, which are at the heart of the UK Health Show. This made it an easy choice to pick them again to communicate the value of exhibiting at, and attending as a delegate, the UK Health Show 2017.”This year’s UK Health Show will take place at Olympia London on 27 September. It brings together four strategic events: Healthcare Efficiency through Technology, Commissioning in Healthcare, Procurement in Healthcare, and Cyber Security in Healthcare.

This year’s UK Health Show will take place at Olympia London on 27 September. It brings together four strategic events: Healthcare Efficiency through Technology, Commissioning in Healthcare, Procurement in Healthcare, and Cyber Security in Healthcare.

Some highlights from the programme include: the chance to hear NHS England chair Sir Malcolm Grant talk about the very latest developments with the Five Year Forward View and sustainability and transformation plans; and the opportunity to hear from Sarah Wilkinson, the newly appointed chief executive of NHS Digital, on “setting the digital direction of travel for the NHS”.

Also: an essential update from Howard Blackith, the procurement transformation programme director at the Department of Health, on its new ‘category towers’ model; and analysis and debate from NHS Digital, the Digital Government Security Forum, Local Government Association and the ICO on cyber security challenges and opportunities in a year that included the WannaCry ransomware attack.

Mark Venables, chief executive of Highland Marketing, said: “We value the partnership that we have developed with the UK Health Show and the opportunity to work with the event team again. It has rapidly become an unmissable date in the diaries of many healthcare professionals, who appreciate its innovative approach of bringing together four essential events under one roof.

“After the recent general election, and with the Brexit negotiations under way, the NHS faces considerable challenges; and there is no doubt that commissioners, procurement experts, and digital leaders have an important part to play in facing up to them.

“The UK Health Show 2017 presents a rare opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn about what is happening in their areas and to learn from each other; and we appreciate the opportunity to support them in working towards a sustainable future.”
