Roll-out approved for Docman 10

NHS Digital has approved the roll-out Docman 10 following a rigorous process as part of the GP Systems of Choice (Lot One) framework that centrally funds the provision of GP IT systems in England.

Their successful First of Type phase over the past few months has seen a number of GP Practices go live with the software and Docman will now begin the national deployment of Docman 10. With a customer base of nearly 4000 customers across England this represents one of the biggest clinical migration programmes in the history of the NHS.

There has been huge demand in the market place for the web based platform with CCGs, GP Practices and Federations excited about the opportunity of having all their clinical documents on a single platform. Docman 10 is accessed entirely through a web browser, providing secure access to clinical correspondence and structured data from anywhere through any device.

Docman 10 will be a real enabler for clinicians and commissioners to deliver The Five Year Forward View and the GP Forward View. The platform supports new models of care such as extended hours, 7-day access and federated working.

Ric Thompson, Managing Director, Docman “We are really proud to begin the general roll-out of Docman 10 to our customer base and network of 200,000 users following approval from NHS Digital. Achieving full roll-out approval represents a huge amount of work and dedication from all our staff and we are looking forward to delivering Docman 10 to make a real difference to healthcare.”

Currently there have been over  1,600 orders for Docman 10.
