Highland Marketing supports Health Tech Awards 2019

Highland Marketing is supporting the Health Tech Awards 2019 by becoming one of its lead sponsors.

The dedicated health tech agency will pick the winner of the inaugural #HealthTechToShoutAbout category from the top projects entered into the rapidly-growing industry awards run by the Health Tech Newspaper.

The choice will be made by Highland Marketing’s independent advisory board, led by industry veteran Jeremy Nettle.

He said the judges would be looking for a project that had not only made a difference to staff and patients, but that could be rapidly adopted by other organisations looking to address the big challenges facing the NHS.

“We are passionate about improving healthcare, and we are confident that all of the projects entered for the Health Tech Awards 2019 will do that,” he said.

“But for the #HealthTechToShoutAbout category we will be looking for that extra something; and that is likely to be replicability.

“There is a real focus in health tech policy today on making sure that NHS IT is using open systems and standards that make it easy for organisations to adopt innovation without having to reinvent the wheel each time. And that is what we will be looking to reward.”

The Health Tech Awards are in their third year and cover everything from the ‘best use of data’ and the ‘best administration time savings’ generated by an IT project, to the ‘best point of care’ technology and the ‘best use of robotics’.

Highland Marketing founder and client services director Susan Venables said: “We leapt at the opportunity to sponsor these awards because they were set up to do something that Highland Marketing has always sought to do: and that is to tell stories about the good things that are happening in health tech.

“We want to celebrate the good work that is being done and to shout about success, so it is easier for suppliers and NHS organisations to get support for and engagement with the IT projects that can make a real difference to the service, clinicians and patients.”

The awards are being presented in association with CCube Solutions, an award-winning provider of enterprise content management solutions. Entry is open now and closes on 17 June. The awards are purely digital and will be showcased live on an awards evening on 3 October.
